Summit, New Jersey

Went to an old boxcar diner in Summit, New Jersey. This diner was stared in the 1920s in downtown Summit. I had a coffee and a bagel with butter. Heard the corned beef hash was to die. Thank you to Duxiana for listening to what we had to offer in terms of long-distance delivery service.

Lester Bourne

I met Lester Bourne from Searles Van and Storage today. I had a chance to interview him and will be posting the sound bites in a few days. Meanwhile take a look at the photos of me and him and his road van. Lester has been driving for Atlas Van Lines for 32 years. He live in CT with his wife and he takes three cruises every year. Atlas treats him well and he treats Atlas well.

Great relationships with relocation related vendors makes my life easy and wonderful. Someone Spilled Lox

Every Saturday we interupt our workday to have bagels, lox and other European appetizers. Since 1914 Russ and Daughters has been producing fine quality appetizers for New York's Lower East Side. The Viking tractor couldn't make it past the temptation this time. The road was just too oily and slick for it to go forward. The San Francisco Treat - Searles Van and Storage

I want to give a shout out to Searles Van and Storage, an interstate agent for Atlas Van Lines based in the San Fran area. I have a customer heading out there who needs a firm delivery date of December 12 and they are MAKING it happen. With one phone call Paul gave me assurance that our customer would be able to move in on the day he needs. Also, Paul said he doesn't take calls from people on the east coast past 6 PM. I did initially call at 547 PM, so I showed him something don'tchaknow.

Logistics, Sounds Heavy

Logistics is a 1000 LB per cubic foot word, DENSE. Logistics is coordinating the flow of information, products, people. Changing there directions and making it work for a given cause or an objective.
